____________My favorite anime! FAIRYTAIL!______________
The story starts off with Lucy Heartfilia, a Celestial mage searching to join her Guild of choice, Fairytail. "Salamandar" a member of Fairytail invites her with him to join the guild. Lucy feels elated! she can join her Guild of choice atlast! But then things go Horribly wrong! The man is not "Salamander!" he is the leader of a group of kidnappers who kidnap women by using illegal magic.
While this is happening, Natsu Dragneel, the protagonist is introduced and when Lucy get kidnapped he... umm.. welll not rescues..... (see the anime!)
Yes I know the name... but this is one of the most funny, adventerous and really awsome animes i have seen in all time ! Character development of each and evryone is something I really liked the first time i saw this.

Before you guys contradict me stop! Think for a moment! Didnt this anime make our hearts race at the start? Didnt its vivid world make us play act Young ICHIGO KUROSAKI ? ( well i did :P ) Though this anime had long episodes , at the start and even now when i have time, its bloody worth it!
Ichigo Kurosaki is a high spirited, angry teen who can see ghosts. He has two sisters YUSU and KARIN. His mother is dead and he stays with his sisters and father. One day he wakes up and sees a strange girl staring at him. He panics and asks who she is. This girl introduces( yeahh.. right) herself as Rukiya Kuchiki, a Soul Reaper. Just then a Hollow ( corrupt soul ) attacks ichigo's house in search for "tasty spiritual energy" Rukiya goes out side to defeat it. Due to events Rukiya is forced to Transfer her powers to ichigo making him a substitute Soul Reaper.

Not gonna lie... not the best animes but i mention it because this is what started me on my Anime journey.
Gaels ( True people ) existed in small clans. The sister of a Gael Chieftain is kidnapped and used to resurrect the Demon ( ** edit needed i frgot what he was**) King. Arawan , the king after being resurrected turns to the good side and begins an epic journey against the empire ( roman i presume) to defend the Fairies, elves and magic creatures.
Lots of action , full fantasy but in the dubbed version has the Prince of the gael clan has a very rough and coarse voice.

One of the wierdest best animes i have seen. The plot ends with tons of unanswered questions, the plots holes exists.. but somehow eureka7 pulls it off.
One day Renton Thurston,son and grandson of great scientist and mechanics find a girl drop from the sky. ( YES! I SWEAR! ) He finds out her name is Eureka. The moment he sees her two things happen, he falls head over heels for her and is frightend by her.. dark and cold aura. He then thrugh misadventure gains access to the GEKKO-STATE , a crew of mercenaries who are against the government. There Renton and Eureka interact and sparks fly , quite literally.
The plus points are AWSOME MECHA ACTION! The romance is both part of a plot and naturally developing. Renton and Eureka's relationship blossoms over time.
The action is .. Awesome! the rockets , the piloting skills, guns and they dont mind showing a bit of blood all balance the "sweet" romance with hot "action"

What are you doing here???? GO SEE THIS ANIME NOW!
Edward and Alphonse, two brothers, try to ressurect thier dead mother using alchemy, against the laws of the science. Edward creates the Transmutation circle, the brothers draw blood... the air goes heavy. Edwards gets the power flowing.. they can see a dark shape rising from the middle of the circle..
That's when evrything goes wrong, somethings literally disintegrates alphonse's body and claims edward's arm and leg... Edwards moaning dreadfully reaches out for the comfort of his mother , only to find a dead corpse in her place.
IF anything deserves the second place after Fairytail, it is this. The plot is wonderfully written, action is wonderful, animation is wonderful, character development is wonderful and a bonus for the comedy.
Just go and see this anime, you will need nothing more to convince you that this is one of the best animes ever.

Some people argue that a hype ruins an anime but sometimes it works in its favor. (BTW this is L not shadow, I'm cooler) This is most popular anime of 2013 and a manged to create a huge fan following in just 25 episodes!! Just in its first episode it pulls you in and them produces some of the most emotional and heart-wrenching scenes I have ever seen immediately followed by RAGE! inducing cliffhangers at the end of episodes.
THE SETTING: A hundred year ago mysterious giant humanoids know as titans appeared and start devouring, YES I said DEVOURING, people in very brutal ways. So mankind was driven almost to extinction and was forced to hide behind three HUGE walls. These walls granted humanity a hundred years of peace and from stone the were converted into the people's religion and god. But one day a Colossal titan appears and breaks down the wall and we have a massacre on our hands. In said massacre horrible things happen, which I'm not gonna spoil.
THE CHARACTERS: lets focus on the protagonist, Eren, who believes humanity lives in humility and is growing weak behind wall. The believes humans live like livestock and wants to join the survey corps which is the elite vanguard of humanity and ventures beyond walls. He goes through some very late character development. Are you wondering why I said "lets focus on the main character"? BECAUSE EVERY ONE CAN DIE IN THIS SHOW! Even the main character! The death count of main characters is astronomically high. So don't get too attached to them but there are some fantastic side characters.
THE ANIMATION: This anime was produced by a fairly untested but very large studio, STUDIO WIT.Thus the quality is very, very good. The human solders use something called a 3D-manuvering gear which is basically a grappling/steam jet and use two swords to slash the nape of titan's neck. These scenes are heart pounding and fast-paced. The game changes with Titan shifters which are twisted humans and "Abnormal Titans" which are scary because they are intelligent titans. The titan verses titan fights are EPIC because each has its owe powers.
THE SOUND: The music is awesome, but there aren't many tracks. Did I mention the OP? Its the best I've heard. With bombastic J-ROCK and German METAL it gets you PUMPED! It has VERY deep and thought provoking lyrics and make you feel like a beast unbound.
THE VERDICT: 9.5/10 WHAT ARE YOU WAITING GO FOR IT!!!!
It is action-packed, emotional, Philosophical, well thought and REALISTIC dealing with famines, strife, politics and human values and morals towards the end with titan shifters. (It does not contain much comedy, romance and there are no mature content(other than gore).

This is also one of my favorite animes, but this is the quite opposite of Aot, it is light-hearted, funny and ingenious above all.(This is L) Its your standard shonen, with a awesome dub, fantastic characters and villains and over is very entertaining to watch.
THE SETTING: In a world where there exists demon (comical ones not scary ones) which terrorize humans, a society was set up call the DWMA, it is a school in which kids are taught to be maesters which is basically a demon hunter. The founder and principal of this school is Death himself (and they even managed to make death look goofy). These maesters are given human weapons (they can turn into weapons) for partners and the must hunt down 99 demons and one witch to make their weapons a death scythe. A death scythe is used by Death himself. This is the Plot of the show, yet soon enough it is thrown out the window in a hilarious manner.
THE CHARACTER: This show has the MOST interesting characters in the world, I can argue with anyone on that, lets focus on the three main ones:
Maka: She is a strong, confident girl with her trusty but arrogant scythe soul. (his name is soul, he can turn into a scythe to be used) Her dad is the most respected weapon in the school, a death scythe but he is just a drunken perv, who was divorced by her mother and really wants to be with his daughter. Maka hates her dad and it is funny seeing their relationship build.
Death, the kid: Best character ever, kid has a severe case of OSD(obsessive symmetry disorder) so everything has to perfect to him, the candles in his room must burn at the same rate, the painting on his door must be perfectly center aligned and his handwriting must be in the same font. He is VERY powerful but all ways loses because he has to be perfect.
